Beyond Redemption

Born of maid -- an act of God to save them from themselves
A mission made for martyrs on a burning trail to Hell
For darkness dictates life on Earth and evil reigns supreme
A world too far polluted and a race you can't redeem

Try
Against all odds you fight
To show the path to light
Behold, the sun shines through
False hope
The sky, it turns to black
At once they turn their backs
The prophecy holds true

No time for redemption for the souls of the depraved
No angel's intervention could save you from the grave
Believe in you; deceive you -- it's a cruel game that they play
The sun will rise tomorrow but the light still fades away

Walk on water, raise the dead, impress them with your gifts
But miracles are fleeting -- not enough to seal the rift
Love and adoration turn to hatred in the end
Denial and betrayal forging enemies from friends

Go
Don't try to make them learn
'Cause they'll only make you burn
And you know that they don't care
Don't wait
There's no chance left for you
For they know not what they do
And God knows they don't care

No time for redemption for the souls of the depraved
No angel's intervention could save you from the grave
Believe in you; deceive you -- it's a cruel game that they play
The sun will rise tomorrow but the light still fades away

And so the stones are cast before the verdict's even in
Unholy guilt in eyes that seek to witness human sin
None dare protest to stop the crime -- objections go unsaid
Gazing blind, a sightless void -- dead observing dead

High
Raised above the crowd
Like thorns that lace your crown
Are eyes that pierce your mind
Die
By the same hands that will pray
To a God that they betrayed
For the saviour of mankind

No time for redemption for the souls of the depraved
No angel's intervention could save you from the grave
Believe in you; deceive you -- it's a cruel game that they play
The sun will rise tomorrow but the dark will cease to fade
